Title: “Psychedelics as potential therapeutics for inflammaging”
Summary: Psychedelics acting at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors are potent anti-inflamamtories across several disease models. These including those for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma, and rheumatoid arthritis in rodents. Further, psychedelics show potent anti-ROS and cellular protective effects in cellular models. Interestingly, all psychedelics are not equal in these effects, with some being more potent than others depending on the disease model
