Thinking about deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease or another movement disorder can feel overwhelming, and you do not have to navigate it alone. DBS Connections is a supportive group series designed to help you learn more about DBS in a comfortable, welcoming environment.

Each session includes expert guidance from the multidisciplinary team at UT Health San Antonio’s Parkinson’s Foundation Comprehensive Care Center, along with the opportunity to connect with patients who have already undergone DBS. Together, we’ll walk through what to expect, answer your questions, and share real experiences to help you feel more informed and confident about your next steps.

Sessions are relaxed, informative, and designed to meet you where you are in your decision-making journey. If you are exploring whether DBS may be right for you, we invite you to join us.

If you or a loved one are interested in attending or have any questions, please contact us at matulis@uthscsa.edu.
