 is an Assistant Professor of Research and scholar with expertise in buildi
 ng higher education support programs for student veterans. With a PhD from
  the University of Texas at San Antonio\, Dr. Wright has dedicated over te
 n years to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in military and ve
 terans studies.\n\nKnown for his work with student veterans at UTSA and Te
 xas State University and his experience working with the Military Health I
 nstitute\, Dr. Wright has published scholarship in journals like Duke Univ
 ersity’s Pedagogy\, the Online Learning Journal\, and Southwest American
  Literature\, and presented findings at national and international confere
 nces. His research focuses on advancing the health and wellbeing of the mi
 litary affiliated community\, to include service members\, veterans\, and 
 their families.\n\nIn addition to academic accomplishments\, Dr. Wright is
  a Marine Corps Veteran\, Purple Heart Recipient\, and community advocate 
 for those who serve our country. He has served on the Military Advisory Co
 uncil with the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce\, sits on the board of the 
 3rd Battalion 1st Marines Association\, and was recently elected to the Ex
 ecutive Board of the Veterans Studies Association.
