This was an interesting topic presented in a nicely paced manner with interaction from participants. I know more people could benefit from this, and hope this will be added to Sharepoint so my friends here at work can view it at their leisure. I also think a lot more people out there have this issue. Maybe all us "Type A" personalities!!! Thank-you for a well put together, interesting, thought provoking lecture.
Was not the biggest fan of the workshop/lecture. I am sure there were people who benefitted from the seminar, but I cannot say that I did. Personally, I feel that CBT and the techniques that go along with the therapy are better fit toward specific clinical populations than trainees and early career faculty that often struggle with a particular phenomena that has been instilled and perpetuated in the field of academia. I think a more "behavioral" and "actionable" approach would have been more appropriate than identifying "distorted" thinking/ thought problems, which I am sure the vast majority attending were already fully aware of.
